It was the spring of 2007 and my life was taking a few twists and turns. My marriage had ended a few years prior and I had gone from a marketing project manager to taking a series of part-time, contract and temporary jobs that had left me increasingly frustrated and unfulfilled. I had come to a point where change was the only viable option. I was exploring, searching and digging into what I wanted to do with my life. I was reading all types of books and attending tons of personal development programs. I had lots of ideas swirling in my head about what to do next, but I just couldn’t figure out where to start. I had a very small social circle. I had never attended a networking events and was very overwhelmed with all the options and choices I faced. I felt stuck.
