One super-expensive team missed my must-not-miss deadline by months. A small firm cashed my deposit cheque and ran, after one mock-up but not a lick of code. A freelancer met all my deadlines (hallelujah!) but the website was, well, ugly. I was beginning to take it personally. Now that I’m on the other side of the fence (I run my own marketing communications boutique), I see where I went wrong with my hiring decisions as well as my direction. Have you ever been pulled, pushed, prodded, shoved, coaxed, enticed, cajoled or sweet-talked by different voices in your head? Ugh! What a nuisance they are! It’s hard work making sense of them and harder still to quiet them so that you can hear your one true authentic voice, your truth, your inner self.
