“Being positive has become the new form of moral correctness”.

And it drives me crrrrrrazy.

I see this everywhere, but particularly among many in the spiritual/coaching circles. You know who I’m talking about.

So many are judgemental and are so quick to label any anger, sadness, pain, and grief as as bad/negative and encourage you to push those emotions aside so you can focus on the positive.

Ugh, are you kidding me?

I don’t need to be vibing high 24/7. Instead, I want to keep things real. To have access to the FULL range of my emotions. Yes, all of it. No sugar-coating, no mind tricks, no rush, no judgement, no by-passing. I like to sit in the muck until it passes.

“Discomfort is the price of admission to a meaningful life.”

I want to be able to deal with the world as it is, not in some utopian way with rose-tinted glasses and blinders on. No rainbows or unicorns, but rather feet firmly planted in the here and now.
